Chemical drums is mainly made using accumulator type extrusion blow molding machine (chemical drum blow molding machine). Through a series of precisely controlled processes, including plastic granule pretreatment -> melt plasticization extrusion -> storage material extrusion of controllable parisons -> mold closing and clamping parisons -> high-pressure inflation -> cooling and shaping -> mold opening and taking out parts -> trimming -> (post-processing/testing) -> inspection and packaging, high-quality plastic chemical barrels that meet stringent use requirements are produced.
What is Plastic Chemical Drum?
Plastic chemical drums are plastic containers specially used for storing and transporting various chemical liquids. They need to have excellent performance to meet the stringent requirements of the chemical industry. Chemical drums are mainly made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE) or polypropylene (PP).
Why choose accumulator type extrusion blow molding machine?
1. Suitable for large products: Quickly provide a large amount of melt to form a large, wall-thickness controlled parison.
2. Good product quality: The parison has little droop, the wall thickness distribution is controllable, and the product strength is high and uniform.
3. High production efficiency: Compared with other molding methods, the production cycle is short and the efficiency is high.
Extrusion Blow Molding Process:
This blow molding machine melts and plasticizes plastic pellets in an extruder, feeding the melt into an accumulator chamber. Once a sufficient amount for one cycle is stored, a piston rapidly pushes the melt out through a die to form a tubular parison (with programmable wall thickness control).
The mold then quickly closes, clamping the parison. High-pressure air is injected into the parison, inflating the molten plastic to conform precisely to the cooled mold cavity walls, forming the drum body and its detailed features (such as threaded openings and reinforcement ribs).
